The commercial series, like theName implies was designed for commercial use. This model was designed for restaurant degree abuse. There is no reason why a home cook can not use the KitchenAid commercial use if you have money left over. The commercial 5-Series is the most expensive of all KitchenAid line.
If you have been using the tilt-head stand, then it could be a small problem that the Commercial line will not tip over. It has held a bowl-lift stand.

There is a oneGray area between the Pro Line Series and the Commercial 5 Series. It's engine is a little upgraded, more powerful version, you'll find in the Classic series. Thismeans that anything that you could do with the original series such as whip meringue, cream butter, kneading dough and breads can already do - but you can do this with more power and your Artisan Series can take some more punishment than the Classic series.
