Hamilton Beach 730C Classic DrinkMaster Drink Mixer, Chrome Overview
Chrome Drink MixerHamilton Beach 730C Classic DrinkMaster Drink Mixer, Chrome Specifications
Drop a dime into the jukebox, press F2 for Fats Domino's "Blueberry Hill," and dreamily drift back to the '50s, when bobbysoxers and guys with ducktails or wearing white bucks (never, ever both) idled away after-school hours at the local drugstore's soda fountain sipping chocolate malts that had been churned to a smooth, frothy consistency by a mixer exactly like this one. Hamilton Beach's drink mixers began appearing at soda fountains in 1911; this 14-1/2-inch-high, 70-watt model, in creamy green, recalls Elvis's first decade. But it's 21st-century, too, blending fruit smoothies and health drinks as well as milk shakes and malted milks. Also use it to mix puddings and beat eggs for omelets. Two speeds offer mixing flexibility, and the tilting head makes it easy to remove the spindle for cleaning. Its professional-style, stainless-steel cup holds 28 ounces and is dishwasher-safe. --Fred BrackAvailable at Amazon Check Price Now!

Buying that mixer was a first class move. The machine can do anything you want. My wife really does a lot of heavy duty baking during the winter months and that 6 qt bowl can really hold those double batches. This is the kind of mixer I wish we had while I was serving in our US Merchant Marines while working in the galley and so much of what we made was done by hand (almost 40 years ago).
My wife has this along with the Classic mixer that she uses for smaller jobs and she also has the hand mixer that's her favorite. We have really put our trust in the KitchenAid products but it is trust that they have earned by making the best products out there. We also have both their big and small food processors. Did I mention that before we purchased our first KitchenAid mixer we went through 3 brand new Sunbeam stand mixers. That's my fault due to seeing how cheaply they were made out of plastic I should have invested a little more and went with KitchenAid right from the start (yes we do learn by our mistakes) This wonderful company deserves all the credit that folks like my wife and I give them !

KitchenAid no longer has my vote - - IDAHO USA
As an avid cook and bread baker I was especially excited to get a KitchenAid Professional model mixer. The brand had such an excellent reputation for quality and durability. After replacing the mixer 3 times for reasons from motor burnout to a badly wobbling head I finally gave up and asked for my money back which I then invested in a really fine piece of kitchen equipment, the Electrolux Kitchen Assistent (spelling is Swedish as that's where it's made). It is far more powerful, durable, sturdy and versatile. Would never go back to KitchenAid!
Great. until it stops working - Gemini16 -
I bought this and loved it! It's beautiful and powerful. This Thanksgiving, I attempted to make mashed potatoes and the lever/motor is not working properly. The machine turns on (at a medium speed only) and quits after 10 seconds. It will turn back on, but only at medium speed (no matter where the lever is) and will turn itself off after 10 seconds. It's just disappointing. No wonder they discontinued this model. I'm going to try to fix this-my dad is handy. I still love the looks & when it's working properly I love how powerful it is. I'm disappointed with this product as I only used it maybe 45 times, I guess I didn't get my money's worth on this product.
Known issues with Epicurean - S. Ziebarth-Roth - minneapolis, MN USA
After my KitchenAid Epicurean stand mixer died in the middle of a batch of cookies this morning, I decided to go online and do some research. Seems mine is not the only one to not start the first few tries or start in high speed only to cut out again. As of this morning, it just won't start at all. It seems there is a shift defect. My mixer is 10 years old (although the on/off shift seemed "iffy" from day one), so my warranty is long gone. I picked up a Cuisinart SM-55 with a 800 watt motor (largest of any stand mixer) and am THRILLED!! I love the tilt-head and the weight of the unit (I move it from cupboard to center bake island and back) - the spillguard and spout are ONE piece and don't need to be removed to change mixing attachments. Best of all? It's quiet in comparison to the Epicurean. Do some research yourself and check out what actual users of stand mixers say before you purchase. Also, determine whether a lift bowl or a tilt head are important to you. In using both, I wouldn't use a lift bowl again - too heavy, to hard to work with contents of bowl.

Great Shake Maker - Dr. James E. Kelley - Atlanta, GA USA
This Hamilton Beach shake maker is elegant, stylish, heavy and
well-made. The milk shakes are consistenly smooth. A terrific product
in every way.
Musicmaker - Joy -
It's okay, but the motor is not strong enough to do a good job with hard ice cream. The motor struggles when you try to make a thick shake. It is definitely not a professional model.
Great for small shakes - R. Runkles - Winchester VA
If you want a big shake maker this isn't it. It makes great kids size shakes but gets warm when making thick ones. If I had it to do over I would spend the extra money and get the pro version. But this will work until my kids have to make bigger ones.

Hamilton Beach 64695N Power Deluxe 6-Speed Hand/St
- Hamilton Beach 6 Speed 225 Watts Hand / Stand Mixer with Glass Bowl
- HAMILTON BEACH/PROCTOR SILEX
for the LOW price, works fine. - Glend Lo - Honolulu, HI
Bought mine at Walmart for the same price. I got what I PAID for.
Every time I mix with this I have to do extra work with a spatula to move the dough around inside mixer for it to mix accordingly. It is very useful for someone that bakes occasionally and for fun. I bake every other day! so this item was not for me. I will invest in getting a Kitchen Aid electronic mixer.
Find something better. - kiwanissandy - Heart of Ohio
I have had this set for over a year now and couldn't be more unhappy with it. The mixer does not reach the bottom of the glass bowl so regardless you still have to mix by hand to get all the flour and other ingredients off the bottom of the bowl. The mixer gets bogged down easily and between speeds of 3 and 4 it just stops. There's apparently a short between those speeds but if you giggle the switch it will work again.
The bowl is extremely heavy glass so once you've mixed your ingredients it's very difficult to man-handle the bowl to tilt it to get the ingredients poured in your pans. The beaters come out while mixing. I've pushed and pushed them in but once you lift the head the beaters often stay in the bowl. Not every time but enough that it's aggravating to have to dig your beaters out of wet cake mix.
I don't have a recommendation for something better. I'll keep using this one because I just can't afford another one. But I do recommend you pass on this one and find better luck with another brand.

Hamilton Beach Drink Mixer - 750BC
- Enjoy thick shakes&soda fountain drinks at home
- 28 ounce stainless steel mixing cup
- Two speeds
- Tiltable mixing head
- Easy-clean detachable spindle
For as frequently as I use it, it's mostly a nice-looking decoration, so I can't personally testify to its effectiveness as a daily-use appliance. But I do like it for its nostalgic appearance and has, thus far, worked like a dream when I wanted it to over the course of two years.
Poor mixer - Chef Tell - Washington DC
Very disappointed with this Hamilton Beach "mixer". It does not have the power or blade to mix ice cream shakes as advertised. A spoon does a better job.
