Hamilton Beach 64695N Power Deluxe 6-Speed Hand/St
- Hamilton Beach 6 Speed 225 Watts Hand / Stand Mixer with Glass Bowl
- HAMILTON BEACH/PROCTOR SILEX
for the LOW price, works fine. - Glend Lo - Honolulu, HI
Bought mine at Walmart for the same price. I got what I PAID for.
Every time I mix with this I have to do extra work with a spatula to move the dough around inside mixer for it to mix accordingly. It is very useful for someone that bakes occasionally and for fun. I bake every other day! so this item was not for me. I will invest in getting a Kitchen Aid electronic mixer.
Find something better. - kiwanissandy - Heart of Ohio
I have had this set for over a year now and couldn't be more unhappy with it. The mixer does not reach the bottom of the glass bowl so regardless you still have to mix by hand to get all the flour and other ingredients off the bottom of the bowl. The mixer gets bogged down easily and between speeds of 3 and 4 it just stops. There's apparently a short between those speeds but if you giggle the switch it will work again.
The bowl is extremely heavy glass so once you've mixed your ingredients it's very difficult to man-handle the bowl to tilt it to get the ingredients poured in your pans. The beaters come out while mixing. I've pushed and pushed them in but once you lift the head the beaters often stay in the bowl. Not every time but enough that it's aggravating to have to dig your beaters out of wet cake mix.
I don't have a recommendation for something better. I'll keep using this one because I just can't afford another one. But I do recommend you pass on this one and find better luck with another brand.

Sunbeam Standmixer with Burst
Should be zero Stars - Suzanne Verrier - Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada
This mixer blew on me in less than two weeks. It was the 4th time using, it quit on me. Wasn't laboring, or having trouble, I had just started a batch of cookies and it just shut itself off and never turned back on. Worse yet, Sunbeam refused to do anything about it. It had been bought two years prior but never taken out of the box or wrapping. Totally useless, I will never buy anything Sunbeam again.
Awesome!! - Karen - Ohio
I bought mine about 6 years ago and it has not caused me any trouble. I never want to use another mixer. It powers through my toughest/largest batters. The burst of speed is incredible. This mixer has never failed me. These newer versions must not have been manufactured as well.

Hamilton Beach 64695 Power Deluxe Hand/Stand Mixer
It's just a hand mixer really. - R. Hille - Stockton, IL USA
I just received this as a gift. I make cakes for people all the time and thought having a second one would cut down on dish washing in between orders. It will not work for me. The beaters don't do all the way to the bottom, and that is what makes the bowl spin. I also have a sunbeam stand mixer and that one works great! This one will be going back to the store and be replaced with something else for sure. I don't want a had mixer that takes up so much space, because that's all I would be able to use it for. The bowl is also 10% smaller then my other stand mixer's bowl. I'm sure this is one of those cases where you get what you paid for......the thought was there, I'm happy my relative tried to help me out as far as my cake business goes, but I wish we could have checked it out of the box before making the purchase.
Good Condition - Maria D. Gutierrez - Arizona
This item came in good condition and so far has put up with everything that's been thrown at it. For a cheap mixer, it's pretty damn suitable (if you're doing simple things, of course).
